Frequently asked questions
- Is quality lost?
- None. Pages are copied whole from one document to the other; they are not redrawn and any images they contain are not recompressed.
- Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
- Only ones with permission restrictions, which are ignored. Files that ask for a password to open are encrypted and cannot be read without it.
- What happens to bookmarks and forms?
- Form fields and bookmarks from the original documents do not carry over. If the PDF is a form that must stay fillable, merge it with desktop software.
