Put a signature or a notice over your photos, in a corner or tiled diagonally across the whole image. In batches, which is where it earns its keep: fifty product shots with the same mark cost the same as one.
The size is given as a percentage of the short side rather than in pixels, so the mark looks the same on a portrait phone photo as on an eight-thousand-pixel panorama.

Frequently asked questions
- Does it actually protect the image?
- It deters, which is not the same thing. A mark in the corner is cropped out in a second; one tiled over the image is far more annoying to remove, but not impossible either.
- Can I use a logo instead of text?
- Not yet — the mark is text. In the meantime you can compose the logo with the text in an editor and treat that as an image.
- Why is the mark unreadable on some photos?
- Because the colour matches the background. Leave the shadow on, which is exactly what it is for, or pick a colour that contrasts.
